3. Lesson set up and Management

Materials:

Per student:
1 Large Plastic Disk
1 String, 100 –115 cm long
1 Student Sheet called Zoomer

Per classroom:
1 jump rope

Student Management:

Some students have a hard time tying the knot on their string. Use the demonstration knot tying sheet!

Some students have a hard time winding up their Zoomers and letting them go SLOWLY. It is helpful if the teacher stands behind those students that are having difficulty and guides their hands.

4. Teacher Tips

It is helpful if another adult is in the room.

Pay attention to the optional Zoomer accessories in the teacher’s guide. The small disks or pencils help prevent student’s fingers from getting pinched.

Have students with long hair pull their hair out of the way.
