Here are some great websites to help during the study of Microworlds. Be sure to explore the sites identified as student-friendly before you send your students there.

 

Student Friendly Websites

This interactive website shows students what kinds of microscopic organisms live in our homes and on common objects we know.

2. Biology4Kids
http://wwwbiology4kids.com
This interactive website has an opportunity for students to learn about cell structure, cell function, and microorganisms. It even allows students to take quizzes online about the topics.


Teacher-Friendly Websites

1. Cells Alive

This website shows cells and video clips that may help you understand cells processes.

2.  Science Notebooks
http://sciencenotebooks.org
This website provides example notebook entries and blackline masters of rubrics and writing frames.

3. The Incredible Water Bear
www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/artun00/mmbearp.html
This site gives information about a microorganism that can live in a state without water for long periods of time. It has video clips of the water bear swimming around. This would go well with Lessons 15 and 16.
