We are looking
for advocates of science education in the state of Washington for this
years Science Champions: Science Education Advocate Awards. Do you know
an exceptional individual, organization or project team that has put
forth extraordinary efforts over and beyond their job description
towards promoting, advocating, and/or influencing others to act in
support of science education by:
- promoting
the importance of science education among the general public
and/or the education system,
- seeking
out and engaging new and diverse participants and/or investors in
science education,
- enabling
and influencing others to act in the interests of science
education and/or its reform, and
- making
enhancements to science education by efforts at local, regional
and/or state level in Washington.
If you know of
an individual, organization or project team that encompasses any
one of these characteristics there are two ways you can help
nominate them.
- You can be a lead nominator (forms are
available here) or
- Send the name of the individual,
organization or project team you think should be
nominated with a potential lead nominator's contact information

nomination submission deadline is Tuesday, January 24th, 2012.

Champions: Science Education Advocates Awards is facilitated by
