How do we apply?
The application period for the August, 2007 to July, 2010 academy is closed.
Team Selection Process
- Teams are selected for the program based on how well they meet the criteria listed on pages 13-14 of the application.
- The essay questions on the application forms are an opportunity for Leadership Teams to provide detailed evidence of district-level support for participation in the National Academy for Curriculum Leadership.
- This is also an opportunity to demonstrate the school/district’s overall capacity and readiness for change. For example, a school/district with a successful history in K-8 curriculum implementation that is linked to Washington State LASER or similar inquiry-based science reform effort is in an ideal position to benefit from the program.
- The application review committee will make every effort to invite a diverse cohort of participants comprised of urban, suburban, and rural schools and districts.
