Former Chairman, Washington Council of American Electronics Associates My Vision for Science Education in Washington State:
I believe that the continued growth of Washington's technology based economy is dependent on an education system that has a strong mathematics and science component. It is important for the groups that benefit from the economic vitality of the technology sector of our economy to support mathematics and science education in our schools. I want to help keep this issue in front of the community. I work with the Washington Council of American Electronics Association (AeA) to leverage my efforts in promoting scientific education. The Washington Council of AeA is one of the strongest advocates for educational opportunities for students pursing careers in technical fields in this state. The Council works directly with OSPI, School Districts, Universities, Corporations, other non-profits and the Legislature to promote the value of mathematics and science in our education system.
