A Dialogue Featuring the 2010-2011 Science Champions: Science Education Advocate Awards

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Town Hall Seattle | 1119 Eighth Avenue (at Seneca Street)

Registration: 11:30 a.m | Buffet Luncheon and Program: 12:15 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

What scientific knowledge and skills do today's students need to be inventors, consumers and literate citizens? Is there too much emphasis on high-stake tests and standardization? How do we foster creativity and innovation? How is the virtual world impacting science education? Do we have the right policies, best practices, and programs in place to meet the challenges and opportunities brought about by globalization and technology? Washington State LASER, CityClub, Pacific Science Center, and The Boeing Company are pleased to invite you to celebrate the 2010-2011 Science Education Advocate Award recipients and join us for this provocative and lively dialogue.

To register for this event, visit the City Club website or call City Club at 206-682-7395.
